Some ways to add frames or borders to your images…
Selection border
Add a new raster layer to your image.
Selections>select all
Selections>modify>select selection border
Choose the inside of your image.
Choose the size of your border.
Click ok.
Flood fill with color of your choice.
This is my favorite way to add a border…mainly because it’s on it’s own layer and I do not have to merge my other layers.
Add borders to a merged image
Merge your image---Layers>Merge>Merge All (flatten)
Image>add borders
Select:
Pixels,
Size,
Symmetric
And color. if you wish to use a gradient or pattern…choose a color that is NOT in your image
Click ok
Picture frame
Image> picture frame
Select the picture frame you want to use.
Play with the options on the right hand side until you have something you like.
I always click on frame the canvas…rather than frame the layer…that way the frame is on it’s own layer and I can move the frame under or over layers, as I choose.
When you have it set up the way you like--click ok.
