Plugin Dlls
didasko wrote:Ever see this message?? "Paint Shop Pro was unable to load the requested plug-in filter. The plug-in may not be installed properly or may be missing files." This always means a .dll file is missing or otherwise misplaced. Sometimes it just happens -- for no apparent reason, even if you had them previously and properly installed.
There are 5 (five) different .dll files necessary to run the more common Plug-ins/Filters.
Those are:
MSVCRT10.DLL
msvcrt20.dll
Msvcrt40.dll
msvcrt.dll
plugin.dll

Each Windows Version has a different folder that these dll's need to be installed in, you will need to unzip ALL dll's into the following folder ~ depending on which version you are using:
Windows 98 ~~ unzip into your C:\Windows\System folder
Windows ME ~~ unzip the Plugin.dll into your C:\Windows folder
Unzip the Msvcrt10.dll into your C:\Windows\System folder.
Windows 2000 ~~ unzip into your C:\WINNT\System32 folder
Windows XP ~~ unzip into your C:\Windows\System32 folder
Restart PSP when finished and your filters and plugins will now all be functional.
Many people, including myself, place an additional copy of their .dll files in the main plugin folder, of course that is up to you.
